Original Mind's I guitarist Greg Muiter has returned to the lineup for two special shows in July 2016! The first appearance is the Rock Done Right Tour at the Big Butler Fair on July 4th, and the second show is at the finale of the 2016 Riding For The Cure benefit at the Longhorn Corral on Saturday July 30th.
Both events will be a fun trip down memory lane for long-time fans of the band, and we are really excited to have the chance to play with our old friend Greg once again. We hope to see you at one of these shows!
We are thrilled to announce that we will be headlining the 2015 Band Jam at Cooper's Lake Campground on Saturday, July 11. Our set starts at 8:45 PM. This will very likely be the only Mind's I show in 2015 - so don't miss it!
Buy your tickets though us! We have two tiers of tickets: Full Weekend $26 tickets that grant festival and camping access for the the entire event (July 10 - 12), and we also have Saturday-only tickets for $16. As a bonus, if you purchase a ticket through us, you will get a FREE digital download of our latest album, Train Wreck. Simply reach out to any of us via social media, or click here to buy through us online. (Note: tickets purchased online will be available for you at the gate on the day of the festival).
We want to thank the folks at Rex Energy for having us out to perform at their annual lease holder event at the Butler Farm Show grounds on July 26. We had a wonderful time!
Don't forget that Tom Panei has released his first solo album! If you haven't picked it up yet, be sure to order your copy! Tom is currently getting ready for a busy art season also - stay in the loop via his site.
Mr. Furley is climbing back in the saddle as well. Jamie and Scott's side project will be playing several shows this Fall, starting with the Monroe Hotel on Saturday, October 4. Come on out and rock out with Furley!
It is with great pleasure that we announce Mind's I will be closing out the 2013 Pyrotechnics Guild International (PGI) annual conference with a performance on Friday, August 16 at 7:00 PM at Cooper's Lake Campground in beautiful Slippery Rock, PA.
The PGI "Boom and a Blast Festival" is an enormous gathering of pyrotechnics professionals from around the world, and obviously mind-blowing fireworks displays are part of the fun. Butler County is proud to host this year's convention, and we are honored to perform for the final night's festivities.
Tickets for the final night are going to go quickly - so please avoid disappointment and get your tickets in advance by clicking here.
If you use Facebook, please let us know you're coming by visiting the event page.
We hope to see you at the show. It'll be a BLAST!
We are thrilled to announce the release of the second video from the Train Wreck album for the song Again and Again.
This video is a compilation of several performances of the song over the past few years synced (somewhat) to the actual album track.
If you like the song and prefer to have it for free, you can get it from Soundcloud (see below the video window).
Please share this with all your friends, social networks, and so forth. While track purchases allow us to keep the dogs and cats fed and the web server running, we are most interested in just sharing the music. ;)
Tom spent a little time visiting our Neighbors to the North this month, during which time he caught a lot of Northern Pike, played an acoustic set at the Lavigne Tavern, and did a radio interview on the Moose Indie Corner show on 99.3 FM in West Nipissing. Tom discussed his artwork, his forthcoming solo CD, and promoted his appearance at the Lavigne Tavern. The interview ended with a spin of Train Wreck from our 2010 release.
While work continues on both Tom Panei's solo album as well as the new Moon Drag album, there is news on the Mind's I front to report. We are excited to announce that we will be performing a full show on Saturday, June 8 at 7:00 PM on the Plaza Stage located at New Castle and Main Streets in Butler, PA as part of the Benefit Biker Run and Dice Roll for the Butler Downtown association. If you want to participate in the riding portion of the event, registration starts at 11:00 AM on June 8 at the Plaza on New Caste Street. The ride ends up back at the Plaza where we will take the stage around 7:00 PM. For complete details, check out the event page on Facebook. This may be the only Mind's I performance in 2013, so don't miss it! Add this show to your calendar.
Oh, and how do you like the new site? Let us know via our Facebook page!
In the Summer of 2002 the band was promoting their soon-to-be-released EP Metamorphosis. One stop on the promotion tour was Pittsburgh rock station 102.5 FM WDVE for their Friday Coffeehouse segment. The band performed a blistering rendition of the song Baroquen for the morning rush hour crowd. Now, straight from the Mind's I vault is the recording of that performance. Special thanks to everyone from the DVE Morning Show for inviting us to perform on the air!
In 1999, Mind's I used studio time won in the Graffiti Rock Challenge to track the song Burn at Aardvark Studios in Steubenville, OH. The very hotly-mastered version of the song has been uploaded to Soundcloud. Listen online or download the track for free from Soundcloud.com.
